Catching Fire

Against all odds, Katniss has won the Hunger Games. She and fellow District 12 tribute Peeta Mellark are miraculously still alive. Katniss should be relieved, happy even. After all, she has returned to her family and longtime friend, Gale. Yet nothing is the way Katniss wishes it to be. Gale holds her at an icy distance. Peeta has turned his back on her completely. And there are whispers of a rebellion against the Capitol - a rebellion that Katniss and Peeta may have helped create.

Much to her shock, Katniss has fueled an unrest she's afraid she cannot stop. And what scares her even more is that she's not entirely convinced she should try. As time draws near for Katniss and Peeta to visit the districts on the Capitol's cruel Victory Tour, the stakes are higher than ever. If they can't prove, without a shadow of a doubt, that they are lost in their love for each other, the consequences will be horrifying.

Violence
I'm not even really sure where to begin. An old man is shot and killed, Gale is essentially scourged for killing a turkey. In the Quarter Quell - which was actually less violent that the usual Hunger Games - an old woman darts into a mist and is killed by the poison, and multiple people are taken out in multiple violent ways.

Sexual Content
If you read reviews from other websites, you probably already know that Peeta says that Katniss is pregnant. However, the other websites don't mention that he also said they had been secretly married. To me, that makes it all a-okay. I mean, if they've been married, it's fine, right? What isn't fine with me is that Katniss and Peeta take to sleeping with each other. Nothing happens, they just sleep together for comfort, and to avoid bad dreams, it all stays completely innocent, but the reality of it staying innocent in real life...Just because Katniss does it doesn't mean you should too. In order to unnerve Katniss, Johanna gets in the elevator and takes off all her clothes o.O Finnick, who is supposedly extremely hot, wears nothing but a net "strategically knotted at his groin so that he isn't technically naked" and comes over and talks to Katniss. After poisonous mist burns holes in their clothes, everyone runs around in their underclothes (these are never described, so they could be just plain underwear, or camis and shorts)

Other Negative stuff
Katniss goes and gets drunk with Haymitch after learning that she has to go back in the arena.

Omigosh, I loved this book. I think that is was as good as the first. I have to give it a PG-13, just for the violence, and the whole other stuff, but it was very good!
Warning: DO NOT get this book out unless you can get your hands on the third. It does not end well.
